Convergence Task Final

I believe the book can never die, even though the paper book is not as popular as before, people still need a book to read.

For developing my idea I have drawn some sketches. As I would like to should the new generation of ebook, reading with real book but with epaper, which can play motion graphic, video and it will also have a sound bar to play music or sound and reading the text as well. Kids can simply tap the book with there fingers and movable object creates their interest to interactivity with it. Additionally, They can read each scene like looking a map, in any angle they want to.

I was trying to make the bottom picture interactivity. However, It only works on EPUB style, not PDF. So it doesn’t comes out in that way. While, the video works fine and the music I added in is quite nice. Talking about the video, it may not fully indicates what I want to say. But it shows kids need the real feature ebook they can flip though and interactive with.

CONVERGENCE TASK

This task is really bring everything together using the four skills we learned to produce a PDF document that responds to one of the following themes:

Making simple music

The death of newspapers/books

Personal security

The Digital Doctor

Toy Hack

As this task is to produce an actual product, in this case, we are not restricted by time, technology or budget. So basically it is to create whatever in your though. However, you have to do some research to indicate the starting point of your idea.

You are required to visualise your idea in some form, this can be a series of composited imagers, and/or a proof of concept digital film, utilising the skills covered in the Motion Graphics / Visual Effects workshops.

My idea is Focusing on the theme of The Death of the newspaper/books.
