During the process of creating this app, it was such difficult to decide what the app logo would I go for, as nowadays basic logo are losing their market, and I believe a relative logo is not as necessary as before, due to general understating of the new media has improved a lot. In this case, a well designed logo would be more attractive than a relative one. In addition, my Museum app is about personalise, thus the little character Carrotman could be your friends and communicate with you everyday.

The first idea of creating my project is to build a daily accessible visual custom app, which it introduce the traditions or customs of various countries.

There are some examples which shows what the direction I would like to start with:

1. THE PALACE MUSEUM

This app was built for a particular museum, and in this app it send notification everyday connecting people with the treasures and rase the group of people who love museum and history but don’t have enough time go there and visit.

In my personal point of view, museum is a place you can never finish with it, if you really interested in it, because of the long history and the various countries.

Therefore by consider with my idea, building an app for around the global, I would like it not just for a single museum but the museums people can choose by themselves. So it more like iDailyMuseum or Artsy.

However, below each treasure, people can comment with it, assume they may talking about the treasure in their knowledge or etc.

Rather than working this app as an entertainment apps I would like to classify this as eduction.

In the early age of most of us, writing and drawing on the wall must be our interested thing to do, and it hasn’t change. The walls just like our jumbo sketchbook. We proud of what we done but don’t know someone may getting angry.

In this technology developing rapidly era, why not change the drawing habit? As I learnt, there are so many digital games for kids but not all is good for children, some of the game may cause addiction and long time siting in front computer is weaken their physical moving ability. Safe and healthy is my aim to do it.

Kids interactive with the graphic really inspired me and made me want to change the way children draw on the wall and also to satisfy a long term wish of decorating their own room without using paint and also it can be changed everyday if they wish to.

Furthermore, I have found out a product called Touchmagix is also a creative interactive projector, but I don’t think it will suit for all family as they will be very expensive. So what I will do is basically create an app which allowed kids draw on it and then project them on the wall via a bluetooth projector.

Rather than have complex game, a simply drawing and simple motion graphic would be good for kids. There will be some basic coding be used.

Read the bedtime stories and draw your own universe.

I believe the book can never die, even though the paper book is not as popular as before, people still need a book to read.

For developing my idea I have drawn some sketches. As I would like to should the new generation of ebook, reading with real book but with epaper, which can play motion graphic, video and it will also have a sound bar to play music or sound and reading the text as well. Kids can simply tap the book with there fingers and movable object creates their interest to interactivity with it. Additionally, They can read each scene like looking a map, in any angle they want to.

I was trying to make the bottom picture interactivity. However, It only works on EPUB style, not PDF. So it doesn’t comes out in that way. While, the video works fine and the music I added in is quite nice. Talking about the video, it may not fully indicates what I want to say. But it shows kids need the real feature ebook they can flip though and interactive with.
